AID STATIONS & PORT-A-POTTIES
AID STATIONS:
WATER ONLY stations will be at MM3, 6, 8, 10, 12 and the finish area, with WATER ONLY. THERE ARE NO ELECTROLYTES. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CUP/
HYDRATION VESTS ARE ALLOWED. WE ARE 100% A CUPLESS RACE.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
The water bottles have pump "faucets" so runners can fill up their cups at the water stations. This is very good for the environment, and significantly reduces the amount of trash that 1,000+ runners can create at multiple water stations.
PORT-A-POTTIES:
Bus pick up in Idaho Springs, Georgetown Lake (start area), MM1, MM2, MM4, MM6, MM8, MM10, MM12 and TBD (post race location).
ALTITUDE & WEATHER
The elevation at the start is 8,500 feet, and gradually descends to 7,500 feet at the finish. Temperatures in the early morning at this elevation can be around 50° and can reach up to 90° at the finish. While conditions are usually optimal at this time of year, athletes should always be prepared for adverse weather because the race is run in
a mountainous location.
T-SHIRTS & MEDALS
Gender specific short sleeve T-shirts will be included with your registration, and may be picked up at early packet pick-up or at the finish line on race day at the Baseball Fields in Idaho Springs.
Finisher medals will be available to all participants at the finish line.
TIMING/SCORING INSTRUCTIONS
As a reminder, your bib is your entry into the event and other activities. You must wear it on your front, on the outermost layer of clothing that you will be participating in. Your bib is also your timing tag, the tag is on the back of your bib. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE IT. Also, please be careful not to fold, bend, or wrinkle your bib to prevent damage to the timing tag.
